Launching Ceremony-07/26/2025

On July 26, 2025, Draw Together officially launched with a community celebration at the San Clemente Community Center. The event, hosted by founder Anna Zhang, brought together nearly 50 attendees, including families, youth volunteers, and local leaders such as San Clemente City Council Member Wu Zhen, who praised the campaign’s mission of inclusion through creativity.

Draw Together was inspired by the Together with Aqua fundraiser, which raised $30,000 to purchase and renovate a wheelchair‑accessible van for Aqua, a disabled teen. Guests participated in a community mural station, viewed over 15 featured artworks, and witnessed a symbolic check presentation celebrating the funds raised for Aqua’s dream to explore the world. Additional donations, charity sales, and a raffle raised $2,000 to OAC Draw Together, which will go towards launching future events that support disabled peers.

Draw Together is an art program dedicated to provide inclusive art spaces including creative workshops, and accessible art resources for children with disabilities along with their peers. In addition, the program celebrates inclusivity by inviting children of all abilities to submit artwork year round to be displayed in the online gallery, with a selected few auctioned at community events. This launch marks the first step in a program that aims to partner with schools, nonprofits, and art galleries to inspire creativity and inclusion across the community.
